Discovery Engagement (2-4 weeks)
We start here. I spend time with your team, review your architecture and codebase, understand your roadmap and constraints. You get a clear picture of what’s actually going on and specific recommendations with cost and timeline estimates.
From there, we work together in whatever way makes sense:
Fractional CTO
Regular strategic support, usually 1-2 days per week. I help you make ongoing technical decisions, coach your technical leaders, and navigate challenges as they emerge.
When this works: You need consistent technical leadership but aren’t ready for a full-time CTO hire, or your current technical leader needs senior support and coaching.
Technical Architecture Partner
Project-based work on specific technical challenges - platform migrations, vendor evaluations, architectural reviews, integration strategy.

I’ve spent 25+ years building technology organisations and products across News Corp, REA Group, iProperty Group, Marketplacer, Australia Post, and Wesfarmers.
I’ve architected platforms handling billions in transactions across multiple countries. I’ve scaled teams while maintaining velocity. I’ve led platform migrations mid-flight without crashing the business. I’ve made build-versus-buy decisions at every price point.
More importantly, I’ve made most of the expensive mistakes and learned from them. I know what good looks like, but I also know that every company is different and what worked somewhere else might not work for you.
