Adopting a mobile-first attitude

Some coverage from Computerworld Malaysia of our recent announcement of a mobile-first strategy. We’re very excited by the opportunities and potential that mobile has for our industry.

Headquartered in Malaysia, online property firm iProperty Group has gathered a team of digital experts to launch a mobile-first outlook in its upcoming strategy.

“Our main development, releases and enhancements of mobile applications and websites will be done in-house and the team will be working with partners to deliver solutions to consumers and customers,” said iProperty Group chief information officer, Andy Kelk.

Kelk said that a total of 280,000 iPhone, 80,000 iPad and 45,000 Android applications have been downloaded since the group launched it in Malaysia and Singapore last year. He said that the group experienced significant success with the launch of the mobile site, m.iproperty.com.my, iproperty.com.sg and rumah123.com in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia respectively. “The mobile site offers consumers an easy to use mobile version of the leading website, regardless of the models of their smartphones.”
